A range of unique treatments from around the world
This treatment comes from the Thai tradition that served as an ancient healing technique. The treatment involves the use of a unique mixture of herbs including ginger, Asian lemon, lemongrass, turmeric and camphor oil. This blend is called a “herbal ball”, and when soaked in hot water, the brewed mixture allows the benefits of these herbs to be absorbed by the client’s body when the ball is pressed and massaged into the skin, using traditional Thai massage techniques. Herbal ball treatments help to open pores and detox the body.
The Malay approach to life is known as “Senang”, which means comfort, lightness, peace of mind and freedom from worries. Senang is the traditional Malay dream. This treatment is based on an ancient Malaysian tradition, where heated bamboo sticks were combined with deep and vigorous massage techniques to release muscles, tendons and ligaments. Bamboo, according to ancient Malaysian tradition, symbolizes flexibility, strength, honesty and simplicity. The use of bamboo sticks causes rapid simultaneous blood flow to a large surface area, for maximum release in a short time, and allows clients to reach the connection points between tendons and bones more thoroughly. This treatment gives the client a swift sense of release and flexibility.
This treatment comes from the native North American tribes. Tribes would use hot basalt rocks, known for their healing properties and ability to store heat for long periods of time, to treat pains, injuries and physiological trauma. The use of this technique and the change to body temperature encourages muscle release and tension relief.
The aromas of Indian essences are known all over the world. These essences are used in a range of ancient treatment styles. In the treatments, and in ancient India, essences and aromatic spices were often used to treat and heal various ailments. Our journey to India begins with a gentle body scrub containing natural orange peels and a blend of essential oils. The therapist gently scrubs the skin with gentle, brisk motions until a layer of dead skin cells is removed, after which the client removes the remaining scrub from their skin, followed by a gentle massage to allow the oils to be absorbed throughout the body.
Argan oil is produced by argan trees in Morocco, and it is known for its medical and health properties, earning it the name “the tree of life”. It takes 50 kg of fruit to produce a liter of oil, which is why it is so expensive. In treatments, and in ancient Moroccan culture, argan oil was widely used to cure inflammation, to boost the immune system and even to treat skin conditions and improve the appearance of the skin. Our journey to Morocco begins with a gentle body scrub containing natural orange peels and a blend of argan oil, sesame oil and almond oil. This massage is great for nourishing and caring for the skin, and it is highly recommended for women after childbirth since it greatly helps with skin recovery and stretch marks in various areas
